Psychodynamic Interpersonal Therapy (PIT) has been shown to be an effective treatment for a range of different problems but can be particularly helpful if you are having difficulty managing your feelings as well as difficulties in your relationships with other people. Therapy focuses on exploring your emotional life, your relationships with others and how the difficulties you may be having with managing feelings and relationships might link with difficult experiences in your past. The goal of therapy is to help you gain a better understanding of your difficulties with feelings and relationships, so that you can manage your personal problems more effectively. The expectation is that this will lead to an improvement in your psychological symptoms as well.
