Session Fees:
We will usually meet on at least two occasions so that I can find out more about you, what you are struggling with and what you would like help with. Typically by the end of the second appointment we will have reached a shared understanding of your difficulties and will discuss a plan for therapy, should you wish to go ahead. In order for therapy to be successful, it is essential that you are happy with both your therapist and the type of therapy provided, so if I am unable to offer you the most appropriate service for your needs, I will do my best to recommend suitable alternatives.
Everything we discuss is confidential, however there are some legal limits to this. If I believed that you or someone else was at risk of harm, I would need to share that information, for example, with your GP, police or social services. I would always make every attempt to discuss this with you prior to breaking confidentiality and hope that we could come up with a plan together.
If you have any questions about confidentiality, please get in touch by emailing drkaterose@protonmail.com.
Things can often feel worse before they begin to feel better, especially as you begin to explore your difficulties in more depth or try out new ways of responding. Therapy is not an easy process and it does require commitment if it is going to be helpful. Rest assured, I will be there with you and will gently guide you through, as I have many clients before you. You are in very experienced, safe hands.
If you have Private Medical Insurance, I am registered with most insurance providers. It is essential that you check the details of your policy coverage with your insurance provider prior to booking an appointment and also find out whether you are required to pay an excess fee.
There is a 48-hour cancellation policy. The full fee is payable for any sessions cancelled during that time period. Cancellation with more than 48 hours notice will not result in any fee being incurred; if you wish your fee can be transferred to your next session or refunded. There is no fee for prearranged holidays.
My hours of work are Monday to Thursday from 9.30am until 3pm.
Due to the risks posed by the coronavirus I am only offering online therapy at present. I do not yet have a schedule for returning to in-office working as I believe that for the foreseeable future online working provides a safe and effective way forward.
Outside of the current pandemic, in person sessions take place at my office in Clotton, Tarporley, Cheshire.
Unfortunately my office is on the first floor, with no lift available and therefore regrettably it is not accessible for wheelchair users or individuals who would struggle with one flight of stairs. Please let me know if access poses a difficulty for you and we can investigate alternative arrangements.
