Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT) is based on the theory that our beliefs, thoughts and attitudes influence the way we feel and what we do. When we are distressed, we can fall into patterns of thinking or responding that can actually make us feel worse. CBT works to help us notice and change such thinking styles or behaviour patterns so that we can feel better. CBT is a collaborative therapy, which means that we will work together to develop a shared understanding of your difficulties, and together develop a more helpful way forward to reclaiming the life you want.

For more information on CBT take a look at the British Association of Behavioural and Cognitive Psychotherapy (BABCP) website by following this link:- www.babcp.com
